A programme to do good

One in 37 – that’s your chance of being diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. An unsettling statistic, I’m sure you’ll agree. But what is Parkinson’s Disease, who gets it and how does it effect someone who has it?
I am very grateful to have been asked by Cure Parkinson’s NZ to produce a documentary that answers all these questions and more. Spending time with a number of individuals who have Parkinson’s Disease was a humbling experience. Their fortitude and drive to fight this insidious neuro degenerative disease was a privilege to witness. Similarly, the astounding dedication and focus that the medical professionals at the Neurological Foundation’s Centre for Brain Research at Auckland University was a great gift to record.
Pretty much everyone knows someone who is impacted by Parkinson’s Disease, so hopefully this video will help sufferers, their carers and supporters alike.
Please take a look at this short trailer then visit onein37.org.nz to see the full length documentary.

Thank you.
