AXIS Award? Yes, make mine a Silver, please.
It was great to share in some industry recognition at last night’s 35th Annual AXIS Awards ceremony. The Holden Monaro Restoration project I worked on for Ogilvy and Holden New Zealand was awarded a silver AXIS in the category of Long Form Branded Content – Campaign.
The Monaro Restoration project was a great campaign to work on as it combined my natural love of cars, with storytelling to excite audiences into sharing their Holden stories.
The campaign was very successful with tens of thousands of social media posts and shares around the campaign elements and the 8 x 4-minute WANTED videos getting over 250,000 views.
And all this exposure and engagement with the campaign was generated almost entirely through social marketing, without traditional TV, radio or press advertising support.
Just shows that if you use video correctly to present compelling content to interested audiences the results will flow.
