Delivering dignity where it matters most
When Radius Care asked me to make a series of videos to promote their business of aged care properties I was initially a little fearful – not that I felt I couldn’t produce nice materials – it’s that I didn’t want to follow the norm of overly produced videos featuring healthy and happy barely-senior citizens skipping in slow motion through art directed piles of autumnal leaves. You know the sort of default imagery that many productions offer up as representative of how our elder citizens spend their final years. That’s not the truth, it’s not my experience and it’s not the way Radius Care see things either.
The residents at Radius’s property in Taupaki have more palliative care needs and we needed to show that, honestly, and to understand how the nurturing these folk need is so generously provided by the staff.
How to do i? Simple. Talk to the staff, the management, the residents and their families.
The result?
Please take a look.
